Privacy Policy
We build systems that handle data responsibly. The same discipline applies to the data this website collects.

This Privacy Policy explains how Tactical Marketing Automation, LLC (operating as Tactical Marketing) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit tacticalmarketing.com or interact with us through our forms, content, or services. It also explains the rights you have over the personal information we hold about you and how to exercise them.
Who we are
Tactical Marketing Automation, LLC, doing business as Tactical Marketing. We are a U.S. business-to-business marketing operations consultancy. Our website is tacticalmarketing.com (previously operated at tacticalma.com). References to "we," "us," and "the firm" mean Tactical Marketing Automation, LLC.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you fill out a contact form, request a guide or other lead magnet, subscribe to the newsletter, or send us a message through the on-site assistant, we collect the information you submit. That typically includes your name, business email address, company, role, and any commentary you choose to include.
Operational telemetry. Like most websites, we record basic request metadata such as IP address, user-agent string, and approximate request timing for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring.
First-party site analytics. We record anonymous pageview counts and the navigation paths between pages so we can understand which content is useful. These records are keyed to a random session identifier stored in a first-party cookie. They do not contain your name, email, or any other personal identifier. Query strings are stripped before storage and external referrers are reduced to host only. We honor the Do-Not-Track browser signal for these endpoints.
Third-party analytics and visit tracking. We use two non-essential trackers on this site: Google Analytics 4, which collects standard web analytics signals as described in Google's privacy documentation, and the Act-On Beacon, a visit tracker from our marketing automation provider that records the pages you view. Both are governed by the consent banner, as described below.
Your choice: opting out of non-essential cookies
Selecting "Opt Out of Non-Essential Cookies" in the consent banner turns off both non-essential trackers. Google Analytics is switched to a denied consent state using Google Consent Mode, which prevents it from setting or reading analytics and advertising cookies and from storing identifiers about you. The Act-On Beacon visit tracker is prevented from loading — or, if it is already running, is stopped — and the cookies it set are deleted. Your choice is remembered for thirty days in a first-party cookie named tm_consent and applies on every subsequent page you visit.
The opt-out covers passive, behind-the-scenes tracking. It does not change what happens when you actively submit a form: if you fill out a contact form, request a guide, or subscribe to the newsletter, the information you explicitly enter is still transmitted to us and to our marketing automation provider so we can respond to your request. The opt-out also does not affect our first-party anonymous analytics, which contain no personal identifiers and honor the Do-Not-Track browser signal instead, or the operational telemetry we record for security and uptime monitoring.
How we use your information
We use information you provide to respond to your inquiry, deliver the resource you requested, send the communications you opted into, and manage the business relationship that follows. We use operational telemetry and first-party analytics to keep the site secure, performant, and useful.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent contact lists. We do not share your information with third-party advertisers for their own marketing.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf and only as needed to operate the business. That includes our hosting and database infrastructure providers, our email delivery provider for transactional and newsletter mail, our marketing automation provider (Act-On) which receives the information you submit through our forms, and Google Analytics if you have not opted out. These providers are bound to use the information only for the services they perform for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies. tm_consent records your selection on the cookie banner for thirty days. tm_sid is a random session identifier used by first-party analytics and contains no personal information. If you allow them, Google Analytics may set its own cookies as described in Google's documentation, and the Act-On Beacon sets visit-tracking cookies (prefixed wp_). Opting out via the consent banner prevents the Google Analytics and Act-On Beacon cookies and deletes any Act-On Beacon cookies already set. You can also clear cookies at any time using your browser's privacy settings.
Data retention and security
Form submissions and account records are stored in our own application database on secure infrastructure. We retain them for as long as needed to maintain the business relationship, fulfill the purpose for which the information was collected, or comply with legal and tax obligations. Anonymous analytics records are retained for operational reporting and pruned periodically.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct it, request that we delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, request a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.
You can exercise any of these rights by contacting our Privacy Officer using the links below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, typically within thirty days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
